Yes, clearly, the post date is 4/20/2010, a day after. Uploads take a while sometimes.
Just a quick video of some upcoming things to let you know we’re still alive!
Our current task list:
New Series – RC Circuits and Power – Looking at how the different configurations of your RC circuit work in relation to motor types, amp draw, lipo selection, ESC rating, thrust, etc. It’s going to be geeky.
Combat – some different designs, from an a different fuselage style to Pops modularization
The Tornado ‘blows’…. up. Some different foam, with some terribly explosive results when it hits the ground. Woohoo!
Cloud City Flyers – A friend of H&S, Chris (optimistONE on youtube) has started Cloud City Flyers, and has posted his first video – a review of the Exceed RC Accipiter Badius Glider. YouTube Link
Simulators – Mr. Harris, another visitor of the site and I have been corresponding on the hobby and his beginnings with it, particularly with simulators and how they’ve been quite the benefit in learning helicopter flight as well as saving money from not crashing the real thing. So, we’ll have some sort of simulator related article and series at some point.
Transmitters Revisited – Taking some cheap Hobby King transmitters, we’ll look at the same topics we covered Spektrum transmitters with – namely binding and perhaps some dual rates – to show that the same ideas apply, just a little different with the specific setup.
Utility Vest – Thanks for a nice idea and gift from Pops, I highly recommend a lightweight vest if you’re sick of carrying too many things in the pockets of your jeans or breast pocket of a shirt.
Hover and Smile T-Shirts – I need to get another logo finished up of an airplane with a similar style as to our happy heli, then I’ll whip up another prototype batch of shirts for fun. Made some buttons as well that turned out nicely. This is sort of why I’ll need to get everyone I know personally into RC, so I can just give a Hover and Smile Mug, Mouse Pad, T-Shirt, etc. to them for Christmas… Shopping List already done in April!
